The United Catholic Church logo has been in use by the church for over two decades and is an important symbolic illustration of who we are. The shape was intended to convey a sense of modernity, a church for the 21st century, while the blue color was chosen for its reach-back attributes of a theology that is not invented but is historical, stable, and in complete alignment with our Old Catholic and Western Christian roots. The purple layer in the logo represents spirituality and suggests a royal lineage, reflecting our history as an apostolic church, while the pink represents peace and acceptance. The bold black centerpiece points the viewer’s attention to Christ and His Heart. This is our center of theological self-understanding: we are a Christ-centered church of love and grace. The circle of people shows us as connected to Christ through His love and grace, and connected to each other as well, as we seek to share with others what we have ourselves received. And of course, the circle itself is also suggestive of the world; we include everyone and do not exclude anyone. Our logo is an important and well thought out symbolic illustration of who we are, and as such it is carried prominently on our website.
